There is no shortage of online tools available to create differentiated methods of communication in the virtual classroom.  In order to clearly communicate with all stakeholders, effective instruction must include differentiated forms of communication.

With the numerous online tools for presentation, instruction and collaboration, which also contain audio and visual tools, the ability to create effective methods of communication is easy.  Many user-friendly options are readily available and free of charge.  In order to provide a successful learning environment for students in a virtual classroom, instructors must make every effort to differentiate communication methods that address students’ many different learning styles.

Presentation Tools-

Prezi: This is a great change from PowerPoint and is more engaging for the students.

Social and Collaborative Tools

This is a great tool for creating virtual binders.  I created this livebinder about teaching with 21st century tools.  It is user friendly and I like the ease of uploading Youtube videos and other links. It is a great tool for collaborative projects.
