Blackboard- 

www.youtube.com/user/BlackboardTV- A web-based LMS that allows SIS and development of online courses.  I use Blackboard when delivering a professional learning course as well as in my graduate work for my master's degree in instructional technology. Teachers can create and present online learning resources through Blackboard Collaborate and offer synchronous sessions.  There are many options for delivering instruction including chat and voice boards.  The voice board feature is an excellent tool for foreign languge  Although Blackboard is not free, there is a free version of Blackboard called Coursesites that is free of charge.

https://www.desire2learn.com/about-A Learning Management System which offers many different styles of presentation which affords differentiated learning and instruction.    This software requires a paid subscription but it does offer a free trial.  It is an integrated learning platform which addresses the challenges regarding the engagement and outcome for leaners. 

Schoology-

Schoology- A Learning Management System that provides a controlled K-12 learning environment that is free of charge.  Teachers can build lessons and is very user friendly.  Features include the ability to organize courses, track due dates,create online tests, social networking, and collaboration.  Schoology insists that it is more than a teaching tool and that it is an entire toolbox.
