Create 2.1.1- Web Tools

Resources for Explanation-

www.whiteboard.com- I can save all my drawings and explanations in the Cloud with this tool.  I can draw on one device and continue to work on it on another device.  There is no fee.

Blackboard Collaborate- This is an excellent tool to deliver and present information in order to make online learning more effective with real-time presentation or synchronous sessions. This is an engaging way to instruct and explain content. It is free by using www.coursesites.com

www.Prezi.com

This presentational tool is a great way to hold students’ interest especially with the 3D feature.  It is much more creative than Power Point and it is web based so it is accessible anywhere.  There is no fee for this tool.

www.jing.com- great tool for recording short videos to explain concepts.  It's free of charge.

Resources for Sharing

www.Smore.com - Newsletters that I can create with important announcements for students and parents. It is quick and easy to use and makes communicating with stakeholders a breeze.   This is a free tool.

www.Livebinders.com - This is a web-based tool which allows me to organize digital resources into 3-ring like binders on a shelf.   I can easily upload my documents and you tube videos and easily combine them with links in a neat and organized way.  Here are two that I created for classes that I teach on 21st Century Tools and Web 2.0. It is a great place to include a Smore newsletter, flipsnack projects, prezis, videos, etc.

www.Flipsnack.com - I can share student work by converting students’ documents to a pdf.  A notebook style document is then created to share the work.  There is no charge for this tool.

Resources for Evaluation

www.Quia.com- I have used this web-based tool for years to create differentiated activities and quizzes.  In addition, I can create surveys use the data to survey student activity and performance. I can upload video and audio very easily to test listening skills.  This tool costs 49.00 per year, but I think it is worth a lot more.

www.Quizlet.com – Both students and teachers can create vocabulary lists on any topic.  It provides a free mobile app that allows students to study vocabulary, play games as well as take practice tests on the go.

www.conjuguemos.com- This web-based site is an excellent tool where students can practice conjugating verbs in every tense.  Teachers can set up a gradebook which automatically records scores. It is very affordable and they ask for a payment of $25.00 per school with an additional $5.00 for each teacher who uses it.  I have used this web-based tool for many years.
